Prompt 5: Question, Challenge, Define, State

Question: Inquire about what isn’t understood, what seems unexpected

Challenge: Assumptions, Black box thinking

Define: Establish values driving opinion

State: Develop statement of opinion


Question:

What digital remains people want to keep or what people prefer to share? What kind of experience can be created for digital immortal life?


Challenge:

Although companies are creating policies to manage user's privacy afterlife, it is still a complex and tedious process that people themselves or their family and friends must go through to get what they want. Besides, many third party companies focus on password vault, it ends up create another layer of complexity where people still need to deal with the privacy issue.


Define:

By researching the topic around digital remains, the problems lead me to think further about what are the alternatives to keep those remains and how to make those remains more cohesive. People may not necessarily want to deal with every single account they own or keep all information they have to the rest of the world. They may also resist to reveal their data even if their families request to get the access of some of their accounts. But what if there is a way people can keep their information, data, memory in a way that they want to present?


State:

People should have rights to choose their digital immortal life in their own way.
