Prompt 10: Impact Assessment

Nothing exists or is made in a vacuum. This final prompt asks you to reflect on the impact of your work this semester along the following vectors:

Audience: What will exposure to your project have on its audience?

The audience will be able to have more private space for online social platforms and connect to other people in a more intimate level.

Community of Practice: How will your work impact the community of practice in which you

are situated?

I want to use my design to address the digital rights that most of people are unaware of the importance of it and how big corporations have exploited the personal data for profits.

Environment: What impact on the specific and broader environment? This should take into account the impacts of materials, tools, output, etc.

I am taking a look of fundamental design of online social media platform and identify the negative externality caused by current design. My propose of design is a decentralized system where minimize the negative consumer externality and in a long run makes the online world more sustainable as the management of data and explosion of data will be controlled when individuals are responsible for their data generation.

Cultural Context: How will your project situate in and influence the broader culture within which it

is situated?

My project is more focused on the concept of whole online system as a sustainable business that protects individual's human rights in digital world. I believe it fits in different context of online platform regardless of culture, race, social status.
