Context:
People should have rights to own their data
It should be a cohesive experience for people to create digital immortal life in their own way
Research Questions:
Individual Level
How we can record our stories, memories and experiences in the digital world in a new way?
Societal Level
how we can help people manage those digital assets in their immortal virtual present just like how we manage in the physical world?
Project principles:
Individual level
In touch with its own humanity, and approaches the tools of the era with no preconceived notion of their socially accepted use
Society level
Philosophy of keeping a simple way of living and connecting with others, within a virtual society
Precedents:
The Glad Scientist: Just in Time
Virtual Home and Muti Messengers
SIMS
Proposal:
Investigate the relationship between human physical presents and virtual realm, and how to simulate and translate the physically-based human activities into the virtual setting
Help to build a virtual intimate connection between people in their immortal digital present, and give back the ownership of digital rights to people
Reflection:
For the precedents part, I should take a look at wider range of examples instead of limiting into similar types of works. In the meanwhile, the concept is still a bit abstract at this moment and I notice it might be slightly difficult for people to grasp the idea.
