Prompt 6: Discover, Scale, Name, Narrate, Problematize Assigned 10/01

Discover: Look through different instruments or lenses at the PoV you’ve established around

your topic.

Scale: Amplify, Expand or Condense components/phenomena/actions already present. What

happens if you scale your ideas up or down?

The focus of my project will be more on how people can design and create their digital afterlife. People should have rights to manage their own data and rights to access those data and information.

Name: Determine an individual member of a specific public and work just for them.

Narrate: Determine actors and plot points and construct a story...and fill in the parts that are

missing. Consider myth, drama, mystery, comedy—fiction can be as strong as fact.

When people walked into their virtual space, people can build how this space look like, how the things can be organized and what things they could store and keep. Like people could extract their favorite music and import into their virtual album collection or they could keep a diary on the shelf of their digital virtual space. People hold a private key of this space, they could choose different levels of security of keys to hand over to different people. They have freedom to walk into others' virtual spaces if they are opened to the public and they can view others' collections of stuffs if they have the corresponding key. People can also save their accounts safely in this virtual space where they could destroy or keep parts of their accounts once they are dead. The proof of death is also simple: when they set up the account, they could specify the person to trigger the deactivate process for them and what accounts or information they would like to destroy or keep it secret completely. and all the settings cannot be changed by others.

Problematize: Instead of solving a problem, make a problem/challenge visible and physical.

Currently the problem in digital remains are information are spread in many different accounts. There is no centralized system or place where people could discard their account all at once. Also, people who do want to leave something behind, they may get frustrated about what and how they would like to keep their digital properties.
